Liposuction and Fat Transfer Techniques for Face & Body under Local Anaesthesia - Video

Regarded as the safest form of liposuction, the tumescent technique for liposuction introduced by dermatologist, Dr. Jeffrey A. Klein (M.D), has revolutionised the aesthetic industry to become the worldwide standard of care in medical aesthetics.

Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction makes use of local anaesthesia to completely eliminate the need for general anaesthesia or IV sedation; thus significantly lowering the risks of excess surgical bleeding, insufficient dosage, fluid overload and perforation of intestines which may be prevalent in other forms of traditional liposuction techniques. Patients have also reported experiencing less pain when undergoing tumescent liposuction.

Benefits of Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent technique in liposuction is known to be extremely safe when administered by a trained aesthetic professional, and it dramatically reduces bruising and pain as compared to traditional techniques. Tumescent liposuction also helps in the reduction of blood loss, with most reported cases losing an approximate of 15 to 30ml blood during large volume liposuction procedures.

Furthermore, the tumescent technique is one of the most minimally-invasive technique in practice where incisions are so small (about 1.5mm) that they generally do not require any post-procedure stitches.

There are also no known deaths associated to or resulting from the proper use of tumescent technique by a trained aesthetic professional.

This week, our IFAAS faculty demonstrates his exclusive techniques to performing a safe Tumescent Liposuction on How to Harvest and Transfer Fat for Face & Body under Local Anaesthesia to deliver a more youthful and natural result to patients at one of our aesthetic training courses held in Seoul, South Korea:
