Course Overview

Dr. Rika Tanaka, Japan

Dr. Rika Tanaka is a distinguished plastic surgeon and a pioneering expert in advanced stem cell therapy. After earning her medical degree and PhD from Tokai University, she trained at New York University before advancing to Chief Professor of Regenerative Medicine at Juntendo University. Her pioneering work in wound healing and diabetic limb salvage has earned prestigious accolades, including the Japan Wound Healing Society Encouragement Award and the Tokyo Medical Association Medical Research Encouragement Award. As a professor and Director of the Foot Disease Center at Juntendo Hospital, she continues to push the boundaries of stem cell-based reconstructive treatments.
